According to Tokyo Metropolitan government, 125 thousand people have been infected with the novel coronavirus in August. 24.9% of the infected caught the virus from their family member.

The government says once one of the family member gets infected, it will spread to the rest of the family immediately. There were case where it spread from parents to their children or from children to their parents and grandparents.

As claimed by the doctor who visits patients, there were cases that even 5 years old child or 100 years old woman caught the virus from their family members.

The doctor warned that we need to be patient until hospitalization declines even if

the infected case decreases. Otherwise, it would get worse again.
